There are so many podcasts on the subject of online business. There’s also quite a few on digital nomadism and lifestyle design too. But are they any good ones out there?
There are some fantastic ones out there!
I have quite a few saved on my iPhone that I listen to all the time. When I find a new one I love I go on a binge and listen to EVERY podcast they’ve made.
Currently binging on the The Fizzle Show at the moment and it’s bloody brilliant. Chase Reeves is hilarious.
I’ve binged out on quite a few podcasts and I thought it would be a good idea to let you dudes and dudettes know which are my favourites.
I have 9 in total. All of which release a new show at least once per week.
Are you ready to find out what they are? You sure?
Ok, here are my favourite business podcasts, and podcasters, of 2015:
1. The Fizzle Show
Ok, even though this podcast is new to me, I can’t get enough of it. The show is run by 3 guys, Corbett Barr, Chase Reeves, Caleb Wojcik (who’s left the show now) and Barrett Brooks.
Their outlook on business is perfect. They tell budding entrepreneurs to find a group of people you care about, because eventually it will be come a job, and serve them to the best of your ability. This is how you’ll get avid fans that’ll buy what you’ll eventually sell.
They keep the show extremely entertaining too which is another reason why I love it so much. Corbett is extremely knowledgeable with over 10 years in the online business world. Caleb started with a personal finance blog and moved into video editing/creation. Chase ran a few personal blogs, one about new fathers, and is known for his work in web design. I haven’t heard an episode with Barrett yet, but if he’s a part of Fizzle, he’s a good chap in my books.
All 3 have great personalities and make the podcast extremely enjoyable. Keep a listen out for Chase’s impressions… They’re bloody hilarious!
2. Smart Passive Income Podcast with Pat Flynn
The Smart Passive Income Podcast by Pat Flynn was probably the first business podcast I started listening to. Pat is highly respected and is best known for his transparency with his own business.
Pat conducts lots of interviews on his show with a wide variety of guests. He brings on people who work within the online business niche where they discuss tactics on how people can improve their own online business. And Pat also brings on people who don’t work within the online business niche but who started their own businesses after finding Pat’s podcast or website. They then discuss their journey and provide inspiration for others to push forward with their own business.
With a nice mixture of online business how-to’s, tactics and inspiration, The Smart Passive Income Podcast has made my list.
Pat’s also just released a new video podcast called SPI TV. I’m hoping to see a lot more awesomesness from Pat now.
3. Screw the Nine to Five Podcast
Well what can I say about Jill and Josh Stanton? These 2 are powerhouses and I love their personalities.
Jill and Josh dish out lots of tips and tricks about all the things they’ve learned in their 3+ years online.
Jill is a “loud mouthed” Canadian who’s energetic personality shines through on the podcast. You’re pretty much guaranteed to get a few curse words in to and I think that just adds to her charm.
Josh is a down to earth guys from the land down under. With his thick Australian accent in your ear holes you’ll learn a lot of the technical parts of running a business. Josh runs the backend of their online empire and Jill seems to the lassy who focuses on the content of the site, including the design.
If you guys are reading this, would you agree?
These are 2 people I’d love to meet in the future… Along with the next power couple.
4. Flipped Lifestyle Podcast with Shane and Jocelyn Sams
These 2 Kentuckians (is this even a real word!?) have been up to some crazy shizz online! Shane and Jocelyn have their own individual projects which they’ve build up from the skills they gained from their day jobs or hobbies.
The 2 of them now help others create their own products to sell online and help people ditch their day jobs to have the lifestyle you want.
They dish out lots of tips based on what they’ve learned since 2012, which is when they started online. I found their podcast listening to Pat Flynn’s podcast and I’m so glad I did. I’ve favourited SO many of their podcasts that I just had to add them to the list. You guys rock!
I love that at the end of each podcast they share their “can’t miss moment”. They talk about something that happened during the week that they managed to enjoy and appreciate thanks to running an online business. If they still were working a day job they would have missed it.
5. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
If you haven’t heard of Amy Porterfield then she is one of the queen bee’s when it comes to Facebook Marketing. A lot of the big wigs go to Amy for advice when it comes to Facebook.
However, in the podcast Amy talks about all forms of social media. You’ll find lots of tips and tricks, step by step guides and general awesomeness when you listen to her podcast.
I think I’ve favourited the majority of Amy’s podcasts because of the step by step guides she provides within the podcast. Almost every podcast, even the ones where Any brings on awesome guests, ends with a “here are the X number of steps you need to do to achieve Y” and I absolutely love that.
Amy has given me lots of ideas for when I eventually come out with my own podcast.
6. The New Business Podcast with Chris Ducker
I had to put a fellow Brit on the list and that could only be the one and only Chris Ducker.
Chris is another well respected man within the online business world and for good reasons. He’s a very intelligent man when it comes to running his own business and passing on advice to others.
Chris is probably best known for his expertise with outsourcing, and more specifically virtual assistants. He lives in the Philippines where he not only runs his online empire but also his outsourcing company where people can hire Filipino VA’s to do a wide variety of tasks.
Virtual Freedom is Chris’ best selling book where he goes through how entrepreneurs can set up virtual teams to tackle tasks in their business. This is a very good read.
7. Social Media Marketing with Michael Stelzner
Another great podcast about social media marketing is by Michael Stelzner who also runs an annual conference where 100’s of speakers and 1000’s of entrepreneurs attend.
Michael runs a massive website and his podcast follows suit. Michael was recently Amy Porterfield’s where he went through how big his website has become and the process each individual blog post goes through before it’s published. Episode 44 of Amy’s podcast is a must listen if you want to see how big Michael has grown his business to.
In the Social Media Marketing podcast Michael conducts interviews with amazing guests and really gives you the low down on how marketing on each social media platform currently works.
In the beginning of each podcast Michael also gives you a cool new app or tool that he’s found. There’s some really cool little iPhone apps on there. It’s a nice little touch to the podcast.
There’s also a 4 day per week podcast called The Social Media Examiner Show which airs Monday through Thursday. This is a great little 5–15 minute podcast that provides a step by step walkthrough on a specific topic. Great if you’re anything like me and can’t get enough podcasts in your life.
8. The Suitcase Entrepreneur with Natalie Sisson
A woman after my own heart. Natalie Sisson is a digital nomad and someone who I aspire towards.
Natalie and I both preach the same message… Build a lifestyle you want with freedom an online business can provide! I’ll probably moan at you a little more about why you should travel than she will though 😉
Natalie’s podcast has some awesome episodes where she breaks down her experiences online and tells you how you can implement them into your own business. Natalie also has amazing guests on her show, most recent being Seth Godin, and they really get the juices flowing for creativity.
I probably haven’t favourited too many of her podcasts because some of them feel a bit… “airy”. It’s hard to explain but I absolutely love the business how-to tips and step-by-step walkthroughs and not all of Natalie’s shows have those. At least not on the topics I’ve currently interested in.
With that being said, this is still a brilliant podcast to have filling up your ear holes and if you’re here you must love the idea of the freedom and lifestyle online business can provide. And Natalie preaches the exact same message just like I do so check her out.
There You Have It… Awesomeness For Your Ears
8 podcasts you should get in your life right now. I love listening to these, along with a few others as well, whenever I can. These guys also make up my “dream team” of people I’d love to meet and mastermind with. Do you know any of these guys have can arrange a hook up? I’d owe you lots of Jack Daniels and chocolate!
Not only that but these dudes and dudettes have inspired me to start a podcast too. So look out for that in the near future. I’ll keep you all updated.
Now what I really want to know is… What are your favourite podcasts!? I still need more podcasts in my life! I am a whore for them so if you think there’s a podcast out there that should have made the list then let me know in the comments below.
Until then, enjoy these and I’ll speak to you all again next week!
Love you bye!
